Air Mouse turns the phone you already own into a contactless, camera-based mouse for Windows, macOS and Linux. Install one desktop app, scan a QR code, and point.
Hand tracking, gestures and safety controls, without a single extra piece of hardware.
On-device
Hand tracking that runs on your phone
The phone's browser finds your hand and fingertip locally, then sends only a position, a confidence score and the current gesture. The hand-tracking model ships inside the app, so nothing is downloaded while you work.

How it works
From install to cursor in about a minute.
Three steps, and your phone stays a plain web browser the whole time.
01
Install
Install Air Mouse on your computer. It starts a secure server on your own network and shows a QR code.
02
Scan
Scan the code with your phone's camera. Approve the phone on your computer once, and it's remembered.
03
Point
Allow camera access, hold your hand in view and move your index finger. Pinch to click.

Privacy and safety
Your camera never leaves your hand.
A camera pointed at you deserves strict rules. Air Mouse keeps video on the phone and keeps everything else on your network.
Video stays on the phone
Hand tracking runs in the phone's browser. Camera frames are never sent to your computer, and nothing ever uploads them.
Local network only
Phone and computer talk directly over HTTPS on your Wi-Fi, and connections from outside private network ranges are refused. The only thing the app ever sends to the internet is its license check: your key and computer name, never camera or hand data.
You approve every phone
Pairing codes are single-use and short-lived. A new phone can't move your mouse until you approve it on the desktop.
Fails safe
Anything that stops tracking also releases a held button, so a dropped connection never leaves your mouse stuck down.

Air Mouse is new. The app stays locked until you enter a license key. The installers are not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper will warn on first launch. Cursor feel is still being tuned on real hands and phones, so expect it to keep getting better.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Do I need to install anything on my phone?
No. The desktop app serves a small web page. Your phone opens it in Safari or Chrome after you scan the QR code, so there is no store listing and nothing to update.
Is my camera video uploaded or recorded?
No. Hand tracking happens inside the phone's browser. Only a fingertip position, a confidence score and a gesture name are sent to your computer. Air Mouse has no account and no analytics, and the only server it talks to is the license check.
Does it need an internet connection?
Only briefly. Your phone and computer need to be on the same local network, and nothing is fetched from the internet while you use Air Mouse; the hand-tracking model is bundled with the app. The app does go online to activate your key, and about once a week to renew the license in the background. If you are offline it keeps working for up to 30 days.
How does the license work?
You pay $99 once. Stripe emails a receipt and we email your license key to the same address, usually within a minute. Install the app, paste the key and you're done. There is no account and no login.
One key covers up to 10 of your computers. Each computer you activate uses one slot.
What does activation send?
Your license key, an anonymous id for the installation, the computer's name and its operating system, plus the app version. The weekly renewal repeats the id. Nothing about your camera, your hand or what you do with the mouse is ever sent, and the app has no analytics.
Can I move Air Mouse to a new computer?
Yes. In Air Mouse, open Settings › License and choose Deactivate this computer; that frees its slot straight away. If an old computer is gone or broken, contact us and we will free the slot for you.
I lost my key. What now?
Use the re-send page and enter the email address you paid with. If that address bought a license, the key is emailed again. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
Is there a free trial?
Not at the moment: Air Mouse stays locked until a key is entered.
Why does my phone warn about a certificate?
Phones only allow camera access on secure pages, so Air Mouse creates its own certificate for your computer. Because it isn't issued by a public authority, your phone shows a warning the first time.
You can continue past the warning, or download the certificate from the desktop app and install it on the phone to remove the warning for good.
My phone can't connect. What should I check?
Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, that it isn't a guest network (those often block device-to-device traffic), and that no VPN is isolating local devices. On Windows, allow Air Mouse through the firewall for private networks. The desktop app has a checklist and can add the firewall rule for you.
Why does it ask for extra permissions?
Moving the system pointer is a protected action. macOS asks for the Accessibility permission, and Linux on Wayland needs access to /dev/uinput. Windows can't control elevated windows or the lock screen, so Air Mouse pauses there and tells you why.
Can I change what the gestures do?
Yes. The Gestures tab in the desktop app lets you remap what each gesture does, and the sensitivity and smoothing sliders tune how the cursor feels.
Leave the mouse in the drawer.
Install Air Mouse, scan a code and point. Your phone does the rest.
